Release notes
A brief history of what changed in each version, newest first.
Lightning at the haunted mansion
- Halloween’s mansion now has branching lightning that strikes diagonally from upper-left to lower-right about every 3.5 seconds.
- The mansion and Happy Halloween greeting flicker together. Pause animations and reduced motion stop the effect; voting and room behavior are unchanged.
- How to use includes current instructions and a refreshed synthetic portal screenshot.
Familiar team selection
- Everyone restores the side-by-side Development, QE, and Business groups, with people wrapping into rows inside each group.
- The roster scrolls with the page instead of using a separate fixed-height list. Group tabs, search, and person menus remain available.
- How to use and its normal and Halloween portal screenshots reflect the restored arrangement. Voting and room settings are unchanged.
More room for your team
- A compact team heading and toolbar leave more room for the roster. The scrolling list fits at least four complete cards without shortening names.
- Before the room starts collapsed, keeps the prepared-item count visible, and preserves unfinished work while you visit Edit team.
- Room options now lives entirely in Edit team, above the member list. Returning keeps your selected identity and saved settings unchanged.
- How to use includes the new settings location and refreshed screenshots. Halloween remains disabled on production.
A clearer team portal
- Find people with search and group tabs. Everyone shows Development, QE, and Business in separate, easy-to-scan columns.
- Use each person’s menu to edit their name or role, change voting eligibility or default facilitator, or remove them from the team.
- Add people in a focused popup, with clearer guidance and protection for unsaved changes.
- How to use includes refreshed instructions and screenshots. The optional Halloween theme is included but disabled.
Room options in one place
- Find Auto-end refinement in Room options → Edit room options → Essentials, alongside the shared timer.
- Save or cancel the timeout with your other team room options. Failed or conflicting saves keep your unsaved choices for review and retry.
- The 30/45-minute policy, two-minute warning, background auto-end worker, and saved refinement history are unchanged.
Automatic ending for inactive refinements
- New refinements end automatically after 30 minutes without activity. Teams can choose 45 minutes in Room options.
- A two-minute warning lets anyone in the room keep the refinement open while discussion continues.
- Auto-ended summaries count time through the last recorded activity, excluding pauses and the idle wait. Votes, work items, and refinement history are preserved.
- Existing refinements stay unchanged; the inactivity policy is captured when the next refinement starts.
Easier room rejoining
- Rejoin an expired seat without waiting for recovery approval. Active reservations remain protected.
- New teams use a 60-second disconnected-seat timeout. Existing team choices and saved refinement history stay unchanged.
- The Team list clears expired entries automatically, and waiting identity pickers refresh seat availability.
Team-specific link previews
- Shared team links identify the team in the page title and supported messaging-app previews.
- Existing links stay the same. Previews expose only the team name, never people or refinement results.
Reliable identity selection and next-refinement reset
- Entering a team room honors your selected name instead of restoring a different browser-owned identity.
- Prepare next refinement resets the canvas and elapsed time to Ready while keeping completed results in history.
Clearer participant cards
- Simpler participant cards separate role, voting status, and connection status without repeating information.
- A purple F identifies facilitators. Only facilitators can see the remove icon, and never on their own card.
One team room, every refinement
- Return to the same team link, with separate refinement sessions and saved history.
- Set Room options on the team page. Each refinement keeps its options once started.
- Smaller status controls, clearer history, and no empty Quick items carried forward.
